✍️ From the Desk of Jason — Weekend Deep Dive
This weekend, a reflection on attention, reinvention—and a sneak peek at my next project.
A few weeks ago, I shared the story behind AI Blueprint, my web app to help people learn AI in a way that’s actually accessible—tailored to your goals, time, and confidence level.

Today, I want to talk about something that’s been on my mind even longer than AI.
💥 The Battle for Focus in a Loud World
No matter how smart the tools get or how big the dreams grow, nothing gets done without focus.
We’re living in a time of constant pings, tabs, swipes, and notifications. And the people who are trying to reinvent themselves—those of us in our second acts—have it even harder.
We’re juggling work, family, maybe even health challenges, while trying to carve out time to build something meaningful. Whether it’s a book, a business, or a new career… distractions are the biggest enemy.
🕰 Introducing: The Deep Work Timer
So I’m building something else.
It’s called The Deep Work Timer — a soulful, distraction-free tool designed for people like us:
Writers. Entrepreneurs. Dreamers. Starters. Re-starters.
It’s not just a Pomodoro app or a glorified stopwatch.
It’s a creative companion that helps you:
Set a focused intention for your session
Silence the noise (digitally and mentally)
Reflect at the end on what you accomplished
Share your wins (or just keep a log for yourself)
With encouragement built-in.
With accountability that feels gentle, not guilt-ridden.
With journaling tools, social sharing, and a sense of presence.
Why This Matters
Focus isn’t a productivity hack.
It’s the only way to build the second act you know is possible.
And just like AI Blueprint, this project was born from the things I personally needed.
From the moments I found myself drifting, doom-scrolling, stuck in loops of half-work.
Deep work is a sacred space.
This timer is a doorway into that space—without the hustle-porn vibes.
🛠 What’s Next
Right now, I’m working on launching both tools:
AI Blueprint — to help you learn AI without feeling overwhelmed
The Deep Work Timer — to help you reclaim time and attention
Both are being built with feedback from real users like you.
If you’d like to test either (or both), reply to this email.
And as always — if you’ve made it this far, thank you.
We’re not building apps.
We’re building bridges to the next chapter.
